As well as receiving global recognition, Slick Films has screened in Parliament, at the United Nations Conference, and has contributed toward changes in government legislation.

Mustapha Wehbi

Head of Production

Mustapha Wehbi is a film producer, entrepreneur, and Head of Production at Slick Films. He’s made a significant impact on the short film industry, backing and supporting emerging filmmakers across numerous award-winning projects. Since joining Slick Films, he has overseen a slate of short-form, documentary, and commercial work, launched the Slick Films Fund, and is producing the feature documentary ‘Sticks & Shelter’ while heading Slick’s first TV commissions.

Rachel Shenton

Co-Owner / Company Director

Rachel Shenton is an Academy Award® winning writer, actress, and Co-Owner of Slick Films. She received the Oscar® for ‘The Silent Child’, her work has screened at major festivals including Clermont-Ferrand and Tribeca. As an actress, she’s known for ‘White Gold’, ‘Switched at Birth’, and ‘All Creatures Great & Small’. Rachel also co-leads the Slick Films Fund and founded The Midlands Screen Acting School to champion working-class talent.

Chris Overton

CEO / Founder

Chris Overton is an Academy Award® winning director, producer, and CEO of Slick Films. He won the Oscar® for ‘The Silent Child’, and his projects ‘Leader’, ‘In Too Deep’, and ‘Gladstone Girls’ have screened at Tribeca and Clermont-Ferrand. A member of The Academy, Chris began as an actor in the BAFTA winning film ‘Pride’ and was recently honoured for his outstanding contribution to short film at HollyShorts.
