THERE WILL COME SOFT RAINS
Elham Ehsas directs this poetic and politically resonant short, There Will Come Soft Rains. Set in a near future shaped by climate collapse, the film follows Mira, a grieving daughter who exhumes her father’s body to protect him from rising sea levels. A meditation on loss, legacy, and environmental urgency, the story asks how far we go to preserve what we love in a world slipping away. Winner of Film London and Climate Spring’s inaugural Hot House: Shorts grant, the film premiered at Aspen Film Festival and has screened at Raindance, Flatpack, Cinehill Motovun, and the BFI IMAX.
