Slick Films Unveils Talent Roster to Elevate Short Film Impact in Brand Narratives

Slick Films is thrilled to announce the launch of its Talent Roster, aimed at partnering with brands, businesses, and charities through impactful storytelling.

The Talent Roster showcases a diverse range of exciting new directors, including Hannah Beach, Jimmy Dean, Daniel Deville, Anna Patarakina, Luke Shelley, and Georgie Cowan-Turner. Each director brings a unique perspective to the roster, having earned accolades such as Cannes Lions, D&AD Pencil awards, UKMVA nominations, and BAFTA Children’s nominations. Their notable work spans collaborations with leading brands like Adidas, Huawei, The Prince’s Trust, Nike, Xiaomi, and Save The Children, setting a high standard for creative excellence.

Anna Patarakina, started out as a Cinematographer and has been supported by Lumix since 2017, leaving her mark on Netflix, BBC, Sky, and Paramount+ shows, also working on high-profile music videos with Clean Bandit. Although early in her directorial career, she has a clear style: “I’m eager to begin my journey with Slick Films, a place where my experience in both narrative and commercial filmmaking aligns with their approach to storytelling. Their openness and dynamism inspire me, and I anticipate creating powerful and engaging content together.”

Daniel Deville is no stranger to working with brands and music artists. As one of the more experienced directors on the roster and a UKMVA nominee, he is looking to balance commercial and narrative: “Working with Slick Films has been the most fluid creative experience in my career. Their genuine love of film and support for artists have offered me a home to truly flourish. Opening up to commercial feels like a natural progression for Slick. No matter the genre, I know I’m in the right place to deliver my best work.”

The Roster also consists of veteran filmmaker Paul Holbrook and dynamic duo Hot Icarus, known for their campaign with Adidas and Nothing Tech, as well as Oscar® Winner/Slick Films CEO Chris Overton and Mexican Academy Winner Omar Deneb Juárez.
